What is the Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ)?
The GAIQ is a demonstration of proficiency in Google Analytics awarded to anyone who has passed the Analytics IQ exam. You do not need to be an Analytics expert to attempt the exam but we will help get you there before you try. Once you’ve passed the exam your certificate is valid for 12 months. You will need to retake the exam each year to retain your qualification.

How to Study Using Google Analytics Training?
Google recommends you take Google Analytics for Beginners and Advanced Google Analytics courses before attempting the exam. Both courses are primarily video-based, but you get the option to read through them. We suggest watching the videos and reading the transcripts while highlighting text to make notes. The videos are great for visual and auditory learners, however, you might prefer to also print out the transcripts if you learn better by reading. We heavily suggest ensuring you still take the time to watch the videos as you won’t get as much context in the transcripts alone.
It’s also a good idea to bookmark certain videos you’re struggling with as there are some you may need to watch multiple times to ensure you retain the information. You will not have time during the exam to read up on something you’ve forgotten so make sure to take lots of notes.
How Does the GAIQ Exam Work?
The GAIQ exam has 70 multiple-choice questions. The questions are random, meaning you’ll get different questions if you have to take the exam more than once. You have 1.5 hours to complete the exam from the time you start. It sounds like a long time but with 70 questions this means you won’t have time to learn as you go. Make sure you know your stuff before starting!
You’ll have to get at least 56 questions (80%) correct on the exam to pass and earn your Google Analytics Certification. If you don’t pass the exam, you have to wait 24 hours before you attempt it again. There is no penalty for failing the exam.
